BCRLS seeks to translate its mission and vision into practical and sustainable activities that strengthen research, learning and informed engagement on refugee law, displacement, migration and human rights.
The following strategic objectives provide a framework for the Center’s academic, research and collaborative activities.
Promote rigorous and interdisciplinary research on refugee law, forced displacement, migration and human rights.
Encourage and disseminate academic publications, research findings and knowledge resources relating to refugee protection.
Create opportunities for students and emerging researchers to develop knowledge and skills in refugee law and protection.
Facilitate meaningful discussions, seminars, workshops and other activities that promote informed public and academic engagement.
Build partnerships with universities, researchers, legal professionals, institutions and relevant organizations.
Contribute to informed, rights-based approaches to refugee protection, migration and human dignity.
